A useful all-round website is Rome2Rio, giving details of travel options for your journey
From Heathrow Airport.
By Rail
Our 2 nearest train stations are Rugby and Leamington Spa.
They are on different train lines from London and start at different London stations. You will need to make your way across London by train / tube to your chosen station
The train routes are:
- London Marylebone to Banbury or Leamington Spa (both on same train line but taxi from Banbury is more expensive)
- London Euston to Rugby.
National Railway schedule information can be found at www.nationalrail.co.uk
Unfortunately we are not near any train or bus station and the last piece of the journey will need to be made by taxi. Our postcode for any taxi driver is CV47 8HX. A local taxi from Rugby or Leamington station would cost about £25 each way, Banbury around £35-40.
By Coach
You could also consider a bus/coach journey with www.nationalexpress.com
You can come directly from Heathrow to Banbury (without travelling in to London)
but you may need to change coach/bus at Oxford.
You could also leave from London Victoria Coach station
- again to Banbury with perhaps a change at Oxford again.
However you would still need a taxi from Banbury to here.
Travel into London From Heathrow can also be confusing....
There is the Heathrow Express to London Paddington (only a 15 minute journey to central London; your airline may do special rates) OR the usual London Underground www.tfl.gov.uk. This is about a 45 minute journey.
By Taxi
To reach here by public transport is not straightforward and can be confusing. Adding to this is the need to transfer luggage whenever you change trains / coaches etc. Once you factor in the costs of individual tickets it can be as cost effective, and certainly more convenient, to take a Taxi door-to-door rather than journey by public transport.
